Welcome to my Website

“Over the decades making work that comes from my heart I have become a nationally recognized ceramic artist, educator, entrepreneur, and visionary leader. I have dedicated my career to building community, mentoring emerging artists, and creating opportunities for ceramic artists to develop both their creative voices and sustainable careers. As the founder of The Village Potters Clay Center, my husband George and I transformed a bold idea into a thriving ceramic arts center that serves thousands of artists, students, educators, and institutions throughout the region and beyond. Today we often consult with potters in other communities with a heart to create a ceramic arts center in their hometowns.

More about Sarah: Sarah has a rare combination of artistic excellence, entrepreneurial instinct, and genuine investment in people that has made her a respected leader in the ceramic arts community. She is a big-picture thinker who is equally willing to roll up her sleeves and do the difficult work required to turn vision into reality. In the face of extraordinary challenges, Sarah has demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to the people and community she serves. At the heart of everything she does is a deeply held belief that people matter more than pots and that creativity, mentorship, and meaningful work can transform lives. Sarah is not simply building a successful ceramics organization, she is building a legacy that will strengthen the ceramic arts community for generations to come.
